Dear visitors
Buesingen on the High Rhine is German territory, even though its encapsulated by Swiss territory. Buesingen is part of the province of Baden-Wuerttemberg and it lies in the administrative district of Constance.
Travelling from Germany to Buesingen, one has to pass German and Swiss Customs, but from Buesingen to Switzerland, there are no more custom controlled borders. This special situation to Germany, Buesingen is an «Exclave»; to Switzerland, Buesingen is an «Enclave», is very unusual and unique.
Economically and culturally, Buesingen is very much Swiss oriented. Especially towards the capital of the Canton, Schaffhausen, which is only a few kilometers away.
We have put some interesting facts and information about our community on this webpage and we hope youll enjoy surfing.
